Obituary : My Father - Subramanian D. 29-12-1942 to 17-04-2013

On 17th of April 2013, My Father Subramanian D. breathed his last, he was suffering from Interstial Lung Disease, which had damaged his lung resulting in a heart attack.

He was champion of Hope and courage, Always provided the confidence and hope even if situation was worse, He was never prepared to die, he wanted to live, till the last moment, he spoke of coming out of Hospital and leading a healthy life, unfortunately they was no Medical help which could revive his situation. He never imagined he would die and never wanted to die.
His life started in a struggle, as 1 among 9 children, who had limited education and started his professional life at ITI as a technician, with a salary as low as 12rs per month, But he was always positive and risk taking, doing lot of add on business, be it Garments, stores, Wholesales, lottery, Borkering etc, he earned some and he lost a lot, his strength was that he was a Super brain in terms of numbers, he can remember any telephone number (upto 100s). his strength was his weakness as well, where he was over confident in taking risks, and took too many risks in life hoping he can manage them. He did manage them well until he was alive. He was philanthropic in nature, I have never seen anyone turned down who had come to get help from him, he was like a hero to many, but always shy to accept it,

As a youngest son, He had a special affection towards me, he was my protector and my role model, he took most care of my needs, He was always there around me, When I used to fall sick, he used to be awake whole night, when I travel, he used to drop and pick me from stations and airports, he was always awake when I returned home in odd hours, He was a perfect role model for me, never smoked, never had alcohol, had a great routine, gets up at 5am, do yoga, do pooja, never over eat, have never scolded anyone. He hardly showed his affection with Words but always with deeds. He was working like a clock, always active, never use to sit in one place for more than 10 mins. he never appreciated me in person for my educational or professional achievements, but would tell whole world about it and felt proud of doing so, he never let me do anywork, I was always like a pearl in his shell, He cared about me more than anyone. He was one of my best friend as well, I always shared my plans and dreams with him. He was always treating me as his special child. Once I had a option of taking Medicine or Engineering, My Dad was asking to take engineering as it was Affordable but I was for medicine which was my Passion, then duing the actual selection I selected engineering but he was fighting with me to take Medicine, even if it was not affordable for him, he valued my dreams so much.

Dear Dad, I don't know whether I was a Good child to you, But You were the best Dad I could ever hope for, I will miss you as My Role model, as my Best Friend and as my protector, Miss you Dad!.
